Well, my initial problem raises from translation: I have "kind of records" and "records type". On the other hand, I have in ISAD(g) the term "form", that is--if you ask me--erroneous put there. If you look th ISAD(g) definition, it looks that is either "type" or "kind", but not form: form means in English something standardized, a sort of table: "fill up the application form". That means, ISAD(g) should be improved. (But, note that in Italian "type" is "forma", so here was the point of  mistake).
Coming back to the initial problem, if you look over the examples associated with MoReq2, you can see they might be referred to also as kind and type. And I had a problem, because I considered "genus" to be more detailed and type/category to be the general one. Because of this, I could not correctly understand nor the Luciana's e-mail, nor your's.
But, you said something yesterday and with the examples on the blog I figured it out: kind is genus and it is the general; type is the category, it is subordinate to the kind/genus, and has, as you brilliantly put it, "attached a function": KIND: report; TYPE (category): customer report or activity report or internal report.
